The committee is charged with designing and building public safety facilities that meets the needs of public safety professionals and the public in a cost effective manner considering both current and future needs.
On the Annual Town Meeting Warrant in May 5, 2015 there was an article for the construction of a new Police facility and renovation of the current Fire facility which was voted in the affirmative. A special election was held in September 2015 in which the townspeople voted to move forward with the new facility and renovation. These two building projects will come with a price tag of $11.3 million.
As a result, the Designer Selection Committee was appointed to move forward with the project. Please refer to the Designer Selection Committee page for further information.
