Tax Classification Hearing

Each year, prior to the mailing of 3rd quarter tax billings, the Select Board holds a public hearing to determine the percentage of the town’s property tax levy to be borne by each major property class. This responsibility and procedure are described in M.G.L. Ch. 40 § 56. The Select Board and the Board of Assessors will host a jointly-posted meeting for the purposes of holding said hearing on November 13, 2023, at 6:00 PM in the Mary McDermott Room in Town Hall. All members of the public are invited to attend.
