Tax Season is Here!

tax season is here
Let us help connect you with the resources you need to get your taxes done this season.

It is officially tax season and the Avon Public Library is here to help connect you to all the resources you need to file your taxes this year. When visiting the library for tax information please keep a few things in mind- the library staff are not qualified to provide assistance on your tax returns. We can, however, help you access forms, instructions, and other resources that will help you get your questions answered.

You can find information, including digital forms and instructions, on filing your Massachusetts state personal income taxes here.
You can find information, including digital forms and instructions, on filing your Federal personal income taxes here

At the library we currently have the following forms and instructions on hand, this list will be updated as more forms and instructions are received:

  • Massachusetts Resident Income Tax Return Form 1 and instructions
  • Federal Individual Income Tax Return Form 1040 and 1040SR
Please note we currently only have the federal forms not the instructions.

If you are in need of a form or instructions that we do not have on hand, we are happy to print them for you. There is a .20 per page fee for printing, and the first 25 pages are free.

If you made less than $64,000 year 2023 or are 60 years or older, you may qualify for free tax preparation assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. To learn more about this program, click here. To find a VITA site near you, click here
