Program Details

Avon Community Electricity Aggregation (CEA) is a program offered by the town of Avon to provide residents and businesses with more options for electricity supply.  Avon CEA does not replace National Grid, the electric utility in Avon, which continues to deliver electricity, manage all billing so customers continue to receive one bill from the utility.

Program Renewed!

The Avon CEA program has been renewed for another three years, through December 2024. Read more about the program renewal.

Avon CEA is the only electricity program offered by our Town – beware of look-alike offers and always look for the Town seal on materials sent to you!

The program was approved at the December 1, 2015 Special Town Meeting (Article 4), by the Board of Selectmen and the MA Department of Public Utilities.

How to Participate in Avon CEA

Most residents and businesses in Avon already participate in the Avon CEA program. Check your electricity bill to see if you’re one of them: the Supplier should be listed as Dynegy-Avon. If National Grid is still listed as your supplier, you may complete the enrollment form to sign up for the Avon CEA program. If a different supplier is listed, contact that supplier to check for penalties or termination fees that they may charge before you join the Avon CEA program.

Participation in the Avon CEA program is voluntary: you can leave the program at any time without fee or penalty.

The program will periodically send Customer Notification letters to new or newly eligible electricity customers, which includes program details, information about product prices, and renewable energy certificates. Customers who receive this letter and do not choose to opt out will be automatically enrolled. To enroll sooner, use our online forms.
