Avon's Curbside Collection Program

Residents save money and protect our environment by recycling and reducing the amount of trash that they throw away.

Avon's recycling program is Single Stream Recycling the Town has provided every home with a Recycling Cart that is to be used if you use an extra barrel or bin will be acceptable as long as there is a recycle sticker on them.  Stickers may be picked up at the Avon Town Hall.

Recycle Information

Trash and recyclables must be placed at the curb side before 7:00 am on your scheduled collection day.  Separate trash from recyclables to avoid confusion.  Please do not allow your trash container to overflow all trash must be placed inside the tote tightly.  Any bags on top of the tote will not be picked up.  If collector leaves items in the bin, it is because they are not recyclable.  Please put them in your regular trash.

The Municipal Collection program offers a Compost and Electronic Drop off Center on Wales Avenue.  There are also four Bulk Collection pick up days per year.  Hazardous Waste Collection Day is held once a year in October with the Town of Randolph.  There is now a $25.00 charge for all Mattress and Box Spring sets stickers must be purchased at the Town Clerk's office prior to your collection day.

Trash Carts:  The Town's Collection Program allows any size trash cart may be used, 64 or 95 gallon totes are acceptable.  If your current cart isn't accomodating your needs, you can purchase extra ones from Howland Disposal Directly.  Please call Howland for specifications and pricing at (508) 746-9600.
