Water Rates & Tax Bills
Water Bills:
Water bills are mailed in April and October each year.
Water & Tax Bill Payment:
You can pay your water and tax bills in person at the Tax Collector's Office, which is located on the left as you walk into town hall.
- Interest is accrued beginning at midnight on each due date
- Interest is charged at the rate of 14% per annum
- IF NOT PAID BY THE DUE DATE A DEMAND FEE OF $25.00 WILL BE APPLIED
- Other fees may apply to specific circumstances, such as new system connections, backflow tests, fire flow tests, temporary hydrant connections, etc.
- Emergency staff callouts after hours are charged at Town’s costs.
- NOTE: by Mass General Laws, the Town cannot waive late payment charges.Payments are considered made when received by the Tax Collector’s Office. (Not post marked)
- **NOTE: There is also a drop box located in the Town Hall parking lot.
- No irrigation systems may be connected to the town water supply.
- Hand-Held* Hoses Only, 5PM until 9AM.
If you sell or transfer your property it shall be the responsibility of the seller to notify the water department to schedule a Final Water Read.

Water Rates:
Water rates are based upon an increasing block rate. They are as follows:

| 1,401 to 4,000 Cubic Feet | $5.20 per every 100 Cubic Feet |
| 4,001 to 8,000 Cubic Feet | $6.50 per every 100 Cubic Feet |
| Over 8,001 Cubic Feet | $8.45 per every 100 Cubic Feet |
| Standby Fire Protection ("Hydrant") | $100 per private hydrant |
| Late Payment Charge (after due date) | $25.00 plus 14% interest per day |
| Final Read (property transfer) | $30.00 (with 72 hour notice) |
Service Connection Fees & System Development Fees:
(Application must be made, fees paid and DPW Water Service Connection Permit issued prior to building permit issuance or excavationfor service, whichever is the earliest)
