Warrant Phase for Excise Bills That Were Due on January 8, 2024
 
The Treasurer-Collector and Assistant Tax Collector advises residents and businesses that excise bills due on January 8, 2024, are now in the warrant phase of collections and due by April 8, 2024.  Deputy Collector’s fees and interest now apply on all past due bills, in addition to the original demand fees and late interest.
 
Our office has several methods in which taxpayers can remit excise tax warrant payments:
 
1. In person – cash payments accepted; check*/money order also accepted.
*Personal checks can only be accepted on warrant bills, ‘marked’ bills must be paid with certified funds or cash
2. Drop-off box in Town Hall parking lot (located next to the blue U.S. Postal Service box)
3. Postal Mail (either to Town Hall, 65 East Main Street, Avon MA 02322 – or – the address listed on the warrant invoice)
4. Online payment through Kelley & Ryan Associates’ payment system
 
How to Make a Payment Online – Kelley & Ryan Associates – Shortcut through Town of Avon Website
1. Go to www.avon-ma.gov and on the homepage click on the button marked “Online Payments”.
2. On the next screen, click on the button marked “Kelley & Ryan”.
4. Follow the steps on-screen to find and pay your bill
5. All payment types are accepted, service fees will apply for transactions.
6. Questions or support for Kelley & Ryan’s online system can be reached at (508) 473-9660.
 
Other Information
For security purposes, we ask that all cash payments only be done during the normal Town Hall business hours.
 
For payments after hours, please use the Town Hall’s silver outside drop box located in the parking lot.  Please make your payments ONLY by personal/business/bank check or by a money order made payable to Town of Avon.
