Purple Heart Day

Avon residents who are Purple Heart recipients are encouraged to contact Veterans Services Officer Fountaine at 781-794-8217 so the town can add them to a registry as a way to recognize and honor their service.
The town will once again be honoring local Purple Heart recipients as they recognize the town’s designation as a Purple Heart Community. Purple Heart Day will be recognized locally with a ceremony on Monday, August 7th at Avon Town Hall and will be attended by local and state representatives as well as Purple Heart recipients. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.
